Kent Reliance celebrated the opening of their new Gravesend branch with colleagues and customers recently. The relocation means that the branch is now closer to transport links and has been designed to be completely powered by renewable electricity.
The new Kent Reliance branch has taken over Unit 2 in Kings Street, Gravesend on the opposite corner to Costa Coffee. The new branch space features a modern, engaging environment for customers and delivers improved energy efficiency. There are now separate meeting rooms to allow the branch team to deliver a personal service and cater for customers with differing and/or additional needs.
The relocation of the branch further cements Kent Reliance’s commitment to the local community, investing in their position on the high street, unlike other banks which are closing. According to Which? so far this year there have been 387 bank branch closures in the UK which has contributed to the loss of over 60% of bank branches across the UK since 20151.
Andy Golding, CEO, Kent Reliance said “It’s a proud moment to be officially opening our new Gravesend Branch and my thanks to the branch staff and customers who have navigated around the move but I think we are all agreed that it’s been worth the wait.
It’s vital that our Kent Reliance branches continue to sit within the heart of our local communities and that we’re designing them with our customers’ needs always front of mind.
This new Gravesend Branch will become a blueprint for all our branches going forward as not only does it incorporate the latest technology for both staff and customers but from an energy perspective it also helps the environment by only using renewable energy.”
Clive Green, Kent Reliance Customer said “I think it’s lovely, the old branch was crowded, would get hot quickly and stuffy. This new one is nice and bright, lots of space, such a better location and all the staff are nice as well.”
