Staff at Kent Reliance are supporting the Demelza Bubble Rush event on 10th July at Mote Park, Maidstone where families can walk, run or toddle their way through thousands of bubbles whilst raising much needed funds for Demelza Hospice Care for Children and there are still spaces available.
This week marks Children’s Hospice Week, the only week in the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospice and palliative care services across the UK. Kent Reliance has supported Demelza since they opened their doors in 1998 and during that time staff have helped with fundraising, volunteering in the local Demelza retail warehouse and even helped create a sensory garden at the Sittingbourne based hospice.
Lavinia Jarrett, Chief Executive at Demelza, said, “The partnership between Demelza and Kent Reliance is extremely valuable and not just in terms of funding. The hands-on support they offer, volunteering at fundraising events such as the Bubble Rush, is so appreciated. Their support helps us provide specialist care and emotional support for children with serious or terminal conditions and their families – work that is a lifeline to over 600 children, young people and families throughout the South East”.
Paul Whitlock, Group Managing Director of Savings at OSB Group said, “Kent Reliance is extremely proud of our partnership with Demelza and being able to offer support both financially and in person; working with Demelza is a real privilege and I know our staff really value their time with them.”
The Demelza Bubble Rush on 10th July still has some places available so we really want to encourage as many people as possible to come along and have some fun whilst helping this wonderful charity. Spaces can be booked via the Demeza website.”
